7 Sets That Are Keeping My Playa Fire Alive

There’s a certain rhythmic force that dominates the electronic soundscape of Burning Man each year – it’s virtually unavoidable at any moment of the day. But like anything else, this fades. As you return to the default world this bass starts to soften, the sets become less experimental and for better or worse, things go back to normal.

Anyone who’s talked music with me over the past year knows that house and techno have made a major resurgence in my sonic repertoire, and it’s due large in part to the incredible experience I had at last year’s Burn. To combat the fleeting nature that all good things undergo, I’ve dug in on SoundCloud to mine a certain deep and melodic groove that I’ve become infatuated with. This sound has kept The Playa’s fire burning bright within me and created the perfect segue into Summer where I (and many others) anticipate our return back to the dust.
