Beyond the Lineup: Dreamville

Held each spring in Raleigh, North Carolina, Dreamville Festival is a highly anticipated weekend celebration of music, carefully curated by the one-and-only hip-hop icon J. Cole and his Dreamville team. There is a considerable lack of hip-hop and R&B festivals, but those who have the vision, think Tyler, the Creator and Camp Flog Gnaw, and here, J. Cole, these music icons are creating opportunity for their fans to celebrate with one another. Set amidst the scenic backdrop of Dorothea Dix Park, this festival brings in both music lovers who simply love the lineup, and OG Dreamville fans that know that whatever parts of the team to support, they’ll only receive love in return.

Dreamville Festival highly integrates itself with Raleigh’s cultural landscape. Embracing its identity as a Black-owned event, Dreamville Festival champions community, diversity, and inclusivity, fostering an environment akin to a joyous family cookout where everyone finds belonging, according to the festival’s page.
